PITTSBURGH DISTRICT PROJECTS

The Alexandria Veterans Curation Program (VCP) laboratory completed the processing of multiple collections from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District.  Veterans processed 51 boxes of artifacts and digitized 855 pieces of documentation associated with various investigations that took place within this district during the 1980s and 1990s.  These investigations included Cultural Resources Survey of Proposed Pennsylvania Route 166 Bridge and the subsequent New Geneva Pottery Waster and Dock (Site 36FA404).  The collections will soon be housed at the State Museum of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
