KANSAS CITY DISTRICT PROJECTS

The St. Louis Veterans Curation Program (VCP) laboratory is currently processing archaeological collections belonging to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Kansas City District.  These collections are housed at the Fort Osage National Historic Landmark in Sibley, Missouri, and at the University of Kansas in Lawrence.  Veterans working as laboratory technicians at the St. Louis VCP facility are processing nearly 100 boxes of artifacts and 38 linear feet of archival documents from the USACE, Kansas City District.  The collections were created from fieldwork conducted over the past 40 years across Kansas and Missouri in the Harry S. Truman, Long Branch, Pomme de Terre, Stockton, and Tuttle Creek Reservoirs and along Blue Springs and Smithville Lakes.
